JW Marriott on Marco Island
Rosemary beach is great
Is this still a nice area to visit during the winter?
What’s your demographic? Gulf side if you’re older Atlantic side I’d you want to be social and or party a bit
St Pete (The Vinoy) / St Pete Beach (Don Caesar)
That is very on brand for St Pete, which I really appreciate. St Pete is like the Austin of FL.
South Beach and Miami Beach are quite empty right now. I live over here, so I’m happy with the lack of hordes of tourists...but remember, around mid-November, the snowbirds start to come..
I’m from FL and have been back since the Pandemic started. I’d check out Ft. Lauderdale/Las Olas, Delray Beach, and Key Largo. You’ll want to stay by the ocean for the views and walks (not sure the current beach restrictions, if any). The governor is pretty lax... (not saying I’m proud of that.) I was last in the state in Aug and most everything was open.
Pro
We like the Colony Hotel in Delray, old school character, relatively affordable and has a private beach with a nice pool (not connected to the hotel, maybe too far to walk - we drove)
I came here to also say the JW Marriott on Marco Island. Tons to do at the resort itself. They have an amazing spa. Naples is also close by with lots of dining/shopping options as well.
What’s there to do in Marco Island?
Hollywood beach Marriott.
Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs.
Key West ?
There are places on water as well as in the city but it would be a little expensive but beaches are beautiful
For context we’re a mid to late 30s couple.
Estero or Sanibel/Captiva. Cute beach towns
Marco Island, for a more quiet neighborhood feel. Great beaches. Or for night life, maybe Miami.
