What’s the consensus on leveraging competing offers for vastly different roles during comp negotiations? For example, is it wrong to use an offer for S&O Manager at Firm A to negotiate comp for Program Manager role at Firm B?

I understand that skillsets are valued differently in the market but seniority is similar and both firms are in the same industry (tech)

Can't really share this with anyone else, so thank you fellow fish for indulging. 3 years in, finally at a point where I can comfortably work 40 hours a week the last quarter+, and still be a trusted team member and major contributor. Normal tasks and collaborations now take me a fraction of the time compared to my first couple years / others on the team. 6 YOE and my TC has also gone up a lot from low 200s last year to high 200s this year. Hope to keep this optimal mix of WLB & progression 🙏
