What’s the consensus on using a career coach or hiring someone to help with the job search? I’ve seen some interesting things for PMs but not sure if that extends to other jobs in tech. The interview process is pretty spelled out so I somewhat doubt how useful they can but happy to be proven wrong!

Hey guys, I have the first short 15-minutes call with a product guy from Hugging Face today wherein he is likely going to take a guess at what roles I could be suitable for. I had applied for Post-Sale Machine Learning solutions Engineer. Is there anyone who’s gone through the process for a similar role at similar organisations or best case scenario would be if anyone has gone through the process with HF.

I've been interviewing extensively with 4 companies, and I believe 2 are getting ready to send offers. If I receive more than 1 offer - how do I choose? Should I leave my first permanent job as a team leader of 4 DPs in a FMCG business (only been there for 4 months) to join a huge Tech business for a 12months contract?

They offer me 60% more money than my permanent role. Circa 2000 dollars every month in my pocket

However, I am worried if I accept the tech role and I do not become permanent I will be looking again for a job in 12-24 months and my CV won't be showing a managerial position. Won't be showing any progress.

Why is it so difficult to make the next career move within your OWN company. I have over 7 years of experience across multiple departments and yet an external company is more willing to give an interview to select roles than your own home company for the same role internally!!

I wanted to get people's opinions on leetcode, codewars etc when prepping for interviews. I am a junior full stack dev looking to move to a better paying junior role or a mid role and honestly these style of questions have always stumped me. I have found that in a year of work to have never found them useful in tackling real world issues. Now I'm moving from a junior to a mid can I still expect leetcode style questions?
