Anyone know what the salary should be for a first year associate working at the biggest defense firm in Florida? I just got offered this month at a north Florida branch and not sure whether this is a good salary: $80k $12 per hour quarterly bonus after hitting 150 billable hours. I’ve heard some defense associates have a set quarterly bonus it doesn’t seem to be the case at this firm.
Any experience working @ Chad Jones law? I’m currently discontent with my income. (3rd year. Salary=80k and no performance incentive. I brought in $1.4mm AFTER partners claimed over half of fees on my big cases.) I see CJL offers an incentive+ base but I’m curious about that structure. Any good or bad firm culture to speak of? Is it impossible to actually earn a respectable incentive bonus? Am I going to have some partner come cut me out of any cases where I might actually make a solid fee?
Question for people who have been on a project led by competent management/leaders/decision makers: y’all hiring?

Looking for feedback: In a leadership position with responsibility to direct sales strategies and enablement for a product category. My issue is that my new boss, who micromanages my every move, gave me a slap on the wrist for “breaking chain of command” to speak with my VP. Someone I already have a relationship/rapport with trying to get honest feedback on an initiative. Any suggestions on handling corporate politics with my boss? Previous boss allowed me to speak freely with all leaders.
I feel I am stuck between two big shot PPEDs. And one of the PPED is doing his best to ensure that the resources provided to me for the project are either pulled or have very limited availability
