You need to schedule vacations for at least 2 weeks and go to a place you enjoy the most (beach/mountain). Completely disconnect from your job and possibly family obligations. Schedule massage, try not to take your job so seriously or get frustrated with things that out of your control. Hopefully this helps, it’s basic but this is what i do and works for me.
Unfortunately, working less has been the only thing that has helped me. This also means less income and no real progress on my student loans… but I would rather be able to maintain my health and relationships than destroy my life with work.
So, if you can… work less and live more.
I am sorry you are going through a hard time! Are you able to take some time off from work and focus on yourself and things that matter to you outside of your professional life? That would certainly help. As mentioned above, it’s best to sit and talk to a professional about what’s going on and how you feel. That will help you understanding what is driving the feelings you are having. Being able to talk about it will provide you support to address the issue.
Can you talk to someone about this? Could you be depressed? Any chance you could switch jobs?
Hey I’m sorry you’re going through this. I definitely recommend talking to someone to sort through it. I’m a coach and work with clients on burnout if you want to connect I would be happy too. Until then i know looking for new opportunities is a full time job in itself. What did you enjoy doing outside of your work before life hit this point?
