Echo this, sometimes I joke and say, “you’ll see it on LinkedIn soon!” for the nosy ones
In my experience trying to keep this a mystery will only make people more interested and curious. If it’s not a big deal just tell people when they ask.
Just say you don’t have anything lined up yet.

Yep, you’re leaving with nothing to go to.
Just don’t tell them. Probably a quarter of folks don’t want to share in my experience it’s not a problem. We just say something like taking a new opportunity when talking to the team.

Curious as to why you won’t just tell people. It’s not like they’re not going to find out anyway.

Ive noticed the not telling people seems to be more common but I’ve seen it actually lead to more chatter and speculation. At the end of the day it’s nobody’s business but your own if you really don’t want to share but as others suggested just tell people you’re taking time off if your goal is to “not make a big deal”
I told people right at the end. You can just say that you're taking time off etc, they don't need to know until you update your LinkedIn
Weird thing to worry about. Say you aren’t sure yet or just tell them. Most people will support you, not judge you.
I feel like there should be a way to decline the giving that information using "corporate" or "professional" language. But I don't have the answer.
