$210k TC in Bay Area (Consulting) or new offer: $220k TC in Austin (FAANG)?

Does anyone have a lead on / advice on finding PM positions over $220k/yr? It seems like most positions I’m targeting are closer to $150k and I’m currently at $190+. I’m not sure I qualify for big tech Director level (would be open to and great for startup Director Level)…it seems I’m a great fit for many Sales Ops / GTM PM roles but most I’m finding promote the ~$200k+ people internally and the job reqs are ~IC 4/5. I’ve designed and implemented many successful worldwide programs.

Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. I don’t anticipate any hiccups in the background check but is it wise to wait until the background check is complete before turning in my notice?
