Houston and Dallas are Tier 3

My friend is getting 167.89 k hired 6 months back Dallas

like

Yes, but that's true

funny

160-180k

like

I would target 180+ as that’s where most MBA hires would be as a first year manager in HC I was D HC MBA hire: Year 1 160 Year 2 165 Year 3 (manager) 184

like

Thank you! What year did you start?

I am HC MBA manager, GSAP, in tier 1 city. Only making 154k in first and second year as Manager, but Covid probably held me back.

like

Yeah Deloitte screws over campus hires by not adjusting pay with incoming classes, that was a big part of the reason I left. New MBAs are getting 160k to join as brand new SCs and people like us who joined 2-3 years ago were never adjusted

Considering leaving Bain with 2 years in SM role, HSW MBA, and 11 years since undergrad. Google role is non-technical Cloud Strategy. Unsure of title or level at this point - called "lead" but contact indicated flexibility. Would be remote in a non-SF/NY location. Mgr indicated it was technically an individual contributor role though I would be managing 2 people. What comp/level should I expect (Assuming L6?)? Hi Fishes! All help appreciated I received an offer from my dream co. - McKinsey. Have another discussion with HR for comp. & joining details, once I accept the offer. I want to join after 4 months (2m of notice period at Deloitte & 2m I want for personal self). How do I take that up? How much deferral of joining is normal? Suggest some reasons (something that sounds genuine | Honestly want to sit home for 2 months and relax, but not sure if HR will accept it) Share experiences if anyone?

Is the main advantage of applying to mba early simply to literally start making more sooner? Is it easier when you’re younger? I’m fortunately not in a rush to apply and I think next year my app will be stronger, my income is not gonna be much higher post mba, I’ll have another promotion, better recs, and less debt to take on. What am I missing?

I am just starting year 4 as an associate doing 100% med mal defense trial work. I know our insurance guidelines require partners to do a lot with so much $$$ on the line, but in 3+ years, I have only: attended 36 depos (12/yr or 1/mo) of those 36, I: noticed 3 (1/yr) and presented 3 (1/yr) I have attended 1 mediation and tried 1 small claims “trial” I feel like I am losing my attorney skills, rather than improving them. Can I expect more opportunities or do I need to make a switch?
