Got an interview request from Amazon for Sr. Digital Marketing Manager. I have been interviewed by and worked for multiple big names like Mcafee, Meta, Microsoft but never by Amazon. I’m wondering how’s their hiring process, what kind of questions and tasks are waiting for me, how many steps are there etc.
Thank you in advance, everyone!

There are many other factors besides technical aptitude. How a hiring manager feels you will "fit" on the team has a lot to do with it. I've interviewed many a candidate who was technically qualified, but was either rude, apathetic, asked about other jobs while in the interview (i.e., only looking for a paycheck to tide them over until they find the job they really want), displayed poor communication skills, etc. What you perceive as "everything was fine" is often not fine at all.
What do you mean exactly? Answering every question, does not guarantee that the SDE will land the role.
Yes, people do it for fun all the time. They love to waste hours of their time just to say "aha, you got all of them right, REJECTED!"
The thing is there's a requirement on the quality of the work, so it's tricky because some things you actually are able to stand out more than others. Additionally, there are just so many candidates in the mix right now. And technical interviews are just like any other part of the interview, just part of the rounds.
I was told that I really “knew my stuff” and some of my suggestions weren’t mentioned by previous candidates. Rejection.
