Has anyone interviewed with Amazon in the last 6 months. I finished my loop for a finance role. It’s been 8 business days and no update from the recruiter. I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon

How would answering “yes” lose you leverage? If anything, it should increase your leverage, since it indicates that multiple firms may be vying for you.
I am honest with them because I personally think it lights a fire under their butt. If they want to get you hired, they have to knwow there is competition. I just tell them I am even if I am not.
I usually tell them the truth because then they know that they cannot push you only towards their preferred firm.

Please share where else you have been submitted or are interviewing.
For example, if you're actively interviewing, I/a recruiter can put more pressure on a firm to move quickly. Additionally, by knowing where you're interviewing I/a recruiter can tell the firm "this is a similar situated firm so don't take your sweet old time here." I never tell the firm the identity of where else you are interviewing so please make sure your recruiter respects that. If you're a recruiter reading this and you disclose the name of the firm where your candidate is interviewing to your firm client, be better.
Additionally, telling the recruiter where you have been submitted saves time and relationships. Firms absolutely despise getting multiple submissions for the same candidate. They will pass just on that alone. Personally, I get quite annoyed when I speak to a candidate, they tell me they haven't been submitted anywhere, and when I check in with them within the next day or two about 8 different firms they disclose they were submitted to 6 of them a month ago.
I'm sure everyone has their reasons for not disclosing these things, but practically it doesn't make sense.
I've heard that it's always best to say yes and keep yourself looking like a desirable candidate. Nobody wants someone who nobody wants, if that makes sense haha.
Say yes, but don't identify specific entities.
Once I trust them I shared entities, but I've absolutely gotten screwed by sharing names with recruiters too early
Say yes but not disclosing details
