I haven't had to. All the uniforms I've had to wear have fit fine, they're just usually ugly and not the least bit stylish. If they were as bad as yours sound, I'd talk to my boss and say that the poor fit and quality is really undercutting the goal of creating a professional looking team. It'll probably get ignored, like most complaints do, but at least you'll have tried.
I flat-out refused to wear the boxy chef coats. Brought in my own fitted jackets and told them if they wanted me in uniform, they could reimburse me. Funny how “the rules” change when you stand your ground.
Agree wholeheartedly that uniforms are not made with women in mind. I just don’t care much, so I never pushed back. I’m working, so it doesn’t matter much to me whether it fits right, as long as I can get it on and clock in.
I don't really mind it, to be honest. I like not having to think about what I'm wearing every day. Sometimes I just wish they would give us more because only having three means I end up having to do laundry a lot because things get spilled all the time. But that's my biggest complaint.
I don’t mind uniforms at all

I’m not too picky about uniforms but I get that the typical chef coats can look a bit… unstylish. I feel like I’ve seen some smart looking chef coats but they must be high end…
