Hello, what is working in retail banking like at JPMorgan Chase ? Specially the branch manager role. I’m looking in the Columbus area. How is pay, culture, benefits, sales environment, meetings, etc. How easy is it to transition from retail banking to corporate. I hear the Polaris campus has great opportunities, I was thinking about getting my foot in the door through retail then transferring to corporate ?

Buy from an independent jeweler that does custom assembly of rings. They can help you maximize bang for buck and tailor the ring to your budget.
As someone who just spent waaaay too much time buying a diamond / ring, get it from Blue Nile or James Allen. Their base prices are at least 5% cheaper and you likely won’t pay taxes (6-9%).
Buy from Costco, great deals, and cash back if you’re an executive member
Go to Brussels. Bought ring there several years ago for 1/2 the value it was appraised at when I returned. Plus you get a nice vacation
Costco and blue Nile aren’t bad. It really depends on what is important to you. The reality is diamonds aren’t rare and you won’t ever see the really good stuff. So just know you are paying a lot of $$ for a compressed piece of carbon that is shiny. Decide which are important for your budget- color, cut, quality.. and then make it work. The led lights you shop under make everything look sparkly but in normal light it is different:)
My engagement ring came from blue nile. We used their sizers but had to send the ring back multiple times to get resized since they are designed to be top heavy. Shipping costs definitely reduced the savings

Yes. The retail markup is sooooo ridiculous. We went independent wholesaler and got a mug I better deal. Just negotiate hard and use cash if you can because they love that. They created our rings custom for a fraction of retail counter prices.
How do you know if someone is an independent jeweler? Definitely don't want to buy from a big retailer
