I luckily got into a local project and it worked out for me.. however it really depends on how your wife is doing and how the doctor appointments have been going. In our case everything was smooth till 34wk3days and the doc visit on that day got her into the labor room due to hellp syndrome..
4 weeks is a good starting point then play it by ear. Congrats!
I stopped at about 36 weeks, but the last 2 weeks were 1 day, fly in fly out for important meetings
36 is past the recommended point. 32 is better
Cool, sounds like 34 weeks is a reasonable ask. Thanks everyone!
Good luck! Ours comes on Monday
I stopped at 38 weeks. But I was only an hour away from home, in a location where there are flights every hour, so I could get home quickly if needed. Our son was born at 40 weeks and 1 day, so it turned out fine. I definitely recommend stopping earlier if you're further away.
I tried to stop, but was still asked to
fly out at 38 weeks. My daughter then came a little ahead of her scheduled caesarean and i missed the birth. Don’t risk it.
C2, that’s rough. I would have been super pissed and left if I wasn’t staffed on local projects for the next decade
