Well I would ask whomever is an epidemiologist to weigh in. Crowd sourcing science is how we got to this problem in the first place

That’s who is guiding the state...I’m asking for public opinion as even though ga is opening from data from a epidemiology team it’s still called stupid.
Based on your comment you would support GA reopening. Is that a fair assumption?

I doubt testing is adequate. So we will all find out! Props to Georgia for being the guinea pigs!
It would have been more strategic to obviously have more testing to identify the hotspots and upcoming hotspots and roll out county by county. Treating a more populated/dense area like Atlanta (Fulton/Dekalb/Cobb) just like say Dublin (Laurens) population of 16K is idiotic when lives are at stake. But this is what happens when you have a person with average /below average intellect at the helm.
Sorry bud, us mere mortals are not allowed to have opinions on this since we're not epidemiologists. Unless the opinion is that Georgia should stay closed forever, in that case you can just make up any reason, and people will consider it valid. 🙄
BCG1, that's such a weird red herring to go off on. The distinction between fact and opinion is not nearly as binary as some people wish it was, especially when we're forecasting.

Wait, your basing your conclusions on data? Get outta here!

Is there enough testing capacity so that people back at work can get tested at least once a week? Does GA have enough contact tracers to cover anticipated new infections? Do hospitals have enough PPE to cover doctors and nurses for a potential surge in 2-4 weeks? Is there a clear protocol for going back into lockdown if cases start rising too fast again?
If the answers to all those are yes, then would agree that GA can start experimenting with a staged re-opening.

yeah i'm with you. doesn't sound like GA is prepared...
Where did you get that screenshot, and when was it taken? Just checked the recent report on Georgia’s department of public health website, and I’m seeing 264 new cases so far on April 24th, plus 11 more deaths officially confirmed.
Georgia’s DPH has misleading data FWIW—their cases have not dropped as much as it appears in that chart: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ajc.com/news/state--regional-govt--politics/confused-and-scared-georgians-frustrated-over-shifting-virus-data/k9oUbZDE3z6iyouWQBF7gJ/amp.html
