Latham’s is pretty generous. 22 weeks at 100% base pay. And after you take your leave, you can work full time remote for up to 6 months.
I’m also in patent lit and we have had several associates go on parental leave and weren’t bothered while they were gone. They all took the full time, too.

Policy on paper means nothing. Finnegan gave me about 2 weeks before starting pestering me return to work.
Cherry on top? The pester came from the same partner who gave me a talk about how family is important and how I should make boundary to protect bonding time

THIS WAS ILLEGAL.
Kirkland’s is 18 weeks + 4 weeks of optional attorney time off.
@associate 5 the distinction is between birthing and non birthing parent
Damn 22 weeks is nice!
Baker Botts is 18 weeks at full base. People definitely take full leave, and others are very respectful of it. Annoyingly, leave has to be taken all at once unless you have approval from department chair (not sure how difficult that is to get).
Curious if any other firms have a rule where you don’t go up a class year if you take more than 6 months of leave.
What firm is this??
