Which firms out there have partner mandatory retirement ages of 65 or older? I started late in accounting and I know my firms mandatory retirement age for partners makes it nearly impossible to ever reach that level. Wondering what larger firms out there have higher ages for mandatory retirements.

How long is acceptable to ask to decide on an offer, especially when another place you really want to work at is moving a bit slower? I know this question has been asked before but I feel like 2022 has been its own beast in the legal market and would appreciate any advice. Thank you!

I just spoke with a software architect that went back to school to learn software engineering after law school because it was more lucrative and had less hours. He’s worked his way up and has the skills and authority to work 6:30am-10am and gets to work remotely. We discussed that results/outputs is better than billable time like in law and public accounting. I have an interview with Deloitte next week for senior associate Internacional tax in California. How much salary I should expect? I am sure this question will come up and I don't want to underbelly myself. Currently I am a senior at other Big4.

At any level above Senior, how do u manage the relationship between utilization and realization, which is an inverse relationship. Seems to be either blow the budget (and write it off), or eat a lot of time.

International tax manager with 7 years experience all at KPMG. Thinking about switching to industry to see it from a new perspective and do similar work from a different angle. How do you successfully transfer B4 skills/experience to industry (how do you find the right fit?), and how do you continue to learn and build your skills so that you’re still marketable and could boomerang back if it doesn’t work out in a few years?
