Anyone Boston next week?
Hi..Need likes for DM activation.
Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

I started later in life as well. My plan is to go the MD route to avoid the mandatory retirement.
65 is where I’d like to retire, and would have me doing 28 years total. Don’t think I’d want to stay more, but nice to have the option.
RSM has no mandatory retirement age for partners and principals.
This is true. My friend works at RSM and there are partners who are pushing 70. Nobody can push them out. They all hate the partner for not adapting to the several generations below them.
Deloitte is 62 for partners but no set age for MDs.
I know several MDs that are retired partners of other firms. So you may not need to forgo a partner opportunity with a firm even if you want to work beyond its mandatory partner retirement age.
So you can make a conscious choice to remain at MD level and not move up?
EY has mandatory retirement at 60
Yes. I know. That’s why I’m wondering what other firms out there have 65+
I doubt any larger firms have dates higher than 65.
Varies a bit but generally 60-65. If you’re high up in some sort of leadership role, it becomes more flexible.
My main concern would be the length of time being a partner, paying off the buy in and getting to the point of being really profitable. Not necessarily for the title.
The benefits far surpass any of these concerns. Also, you get the buy in back.

My midsize regional is 65. I’m guessing would have to go smaller local to see higher or none.
