I’m thinking about moving from SF to Portland for a great job salary starting around 90k. I’m 30 years old with 1 child who lives with his mother.

This job will be based out of San Francisco. I currently make $30/hour for the same role in Chicago, after OT it’s about $60,000. Do you think it would be wise to accept the offer? Hello people of San Diego! Would love to hear how y’all are affording to live here comfortably. Please state your company, position, TC, YOE, and do you have a side hustle? I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. Curious what the salary level is for a Sr. Manager at Digital Finance team. Not sure what L4 or L5 is but I see job posted at Sr. Mgr level.

Any other hiring managers feeling like all of your candidates are asking for more money last minute just to see how far they can go? Like if we say the range is 110-130K, they say they’re looking for 135K, you offer 135K and then they say they won’t take the job for less than 150? Not even with competing offers. It’s hard for me to stay excited about wanting to work with someone when they do that. What a waste of everyone’s time.

Capgemini has verbally promised me 9 LPA but the offer is yet to be released.
Deloitte India has not yet communicated any offer, neither verbal nor formal.

I am more inclined towards joining Deloitte India as it is a bigger position than Capgemini.
