Can we expect a permanent wfh option?
Selected in a Big4 firm and one MNC shortlisting is going on, hopefully will be selected within 7-8 days. The MNC will be offering good package, but Big4 is just giving 20% hike in my salary and waiting for my decision to say yes or no,to proceed further with offer letter. Query :1. If I say yes to the Big4, and when they issue the offer letter, and then I reject, can they blacklist me. 2. Also if accept the offer and say no, in that case can they blacklist me from their firm.EY Deloitte KPMG PwC

I am a GDS employee and GDS is a consulting firm. I see your main concerns are:
1. WLB: Completely depends on your team. Sometimes there is less work but most of the time there is a lot. I work from 7 am in the morning to 11 pm. If there are projects and resource crunch, forget WLB. Our director shamelessly announces in meetings to not apply leaves. Managers call and pester you to cancel your annual leaves.
2. Clients: Clients are global, yes. And you get good opportunity to learn and interact with various culture people. If your role is normally client facing then this is a good opportunity to travel to different countries etc. that said, we also work along with EY India on their projects because, hello! Consulting. EY India mostly work with Indian clients.
3. Transfer firms: Both EY GDS and EY India have transfer policies. There is Mobility4U policy where you can choose to work from anywhere if there is a job and place for you. Nothing to worry here. But if you work for GDS you can directly work with different member firms and if you make a good impression you can ask member firm to request for you and they will handle the processes and visa(if required). If you choose EY India, chances of this are less and you may have to initiate it yourself (very likely in GDS as well because member firms rarely agree to request for transfers)
4. Compensation: No brainer here. If you ask me I’d take EY India job for the compensation. There are equal opportunities and challenges in both.
What is Assesment test in GDS .I have cleared three rounds technical now they are saying again assesment test .Anybody whats the assesment it will be can be helpful to me

India has client facing roles whereas GDS does whatever you get from the onsite guys...

@EY, Which service line you are in?
EY India far better than GDS.
GDS is not a matured org. They are cost center. You get projects from member firms.
EY India will get you more opportunities to work with real clients, with that better recognition and higher work pressure.
With GDS you will work as a back office, no real client interaction, call member firms your clients, leaders jumping out of there seat, on unnecessary internal escalation, lots of unnecessary systems which are not integrated, causing additional over head.
Additional to this EY India is paying you higher.
Aur yaha main Roz roz client interaction karke bhaisaab main toh thak gayi hu!
To OP, Bhai mere jagah aaja, kitna chahe client interaction kar lena... Ey Internal members nehi, real clients 😊
How much is EY India offering?
