SA1 Not to play the sympathy card, but i have lost count of how many times i’ve been ‘randomly selected’ and/or sent to secondary screening. So yeah Im rejoicing its not me!
Yeah nice. Way to celebrate someone else’s misfortune.
White guy who got selected for it today even with tsa pre check. Agent goes do you have anything in your pockets as it shows up on screen. “Yes I have a lot of shit In my pockets; i have pre check so I don’t have to take it out and deal with this shit"
I do want to add: I dont take offense. I understand the world we live in. I am from a country which people automatically associate with death and destruction, I have experienced terror attacks and lost friends in those attacks, so I don’t blame others for trying to secure their societies. I have always felt bad for the white folks in secondary screening rooms, because its obvious they have only been added to make it seem random. Once at Dulles, there was a room full of middle eastern and south asian folks and they pulled in a woman with a Norwegian or another Nordic passport, And I was like come on for fs sake, which white Nordic woman every said anything to anyone! My post was not to disrespect anyone. Just enjoying small joys of life at not being pulled aside. Peace. 😊
So we agree that being selected for the 'random' pat downs is a misfortune?
Lol “random” screening. One time they were backed up on the additional screening line, it was myself and three other brown guys 🧐
As a black woman, with an Arabic name, who always gets “randomly selected” for random searches, this is sooooo satisfying. However, this time it was actually “random” and the white guy probably will never have to deal with this again, or if he does it’s damn sure way less than OP or myself
One I was in a line and every single brown person was pulled out of line for a patdown. Then they selected a few white people to make it a random sample. I was amused.

Once a white guy behind me got selected and he asked “do you mean me or her?”. I’m a brown woman btw. 😡
On a different note I almost never get selected for random screening/ secondary screening or pat downs.
OP I had the same issue. Applied for a redress number, got it in a couple of weeks, got pre check and have been living happily ever after (or at least on Mon mornings and Thurs nights)
There’s a racist white prick in DCA who every time he manned the line, would pull me aside and test my hijab. Made me so livid every time 🤬
I mean it takes a lot of time...
