Who are the most insane, crazy party people in the industry who somehow still manage to find - and keep - success, despite their reputation?

I get where you're going with this but don't agree that the crazy ones should be defined with a negative connotation (maybe not your inference but it is my interpretation). As long as they care about their people, good at their jobs and aren't inappropriate, i'm all for the crazy party people!

Be there in body, let the brain catch up as you take notes, nod, crack a little quip. “Ha! This guy gets it!” Smile and nod again. You feel like death. But you’re in control. The conversation switches to “campaign integration.” Let the social people argue with everyone. Wait for your moment. “It’s a balancing act.” They nod their heads. This guy gets it. He’s funny, taking notes, understands that campaigns are indeed a balancing act. The argument ceases. We move on to timeline. Inside ... your ate up from your proclivities. But to the outside ... you are a valuable member of the brainstorm. Now go yack in the furthest bathroom. Go eat chicken fingers. Life is good. It’s a balancing act.

Wtf question

I would care more about the inappropriate or problematic people who manage to keep their jobs over the party people (whatever that means....is this the 90s and are we talking about hard drugs???).

Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls

I thought once you are manager you can’t invest in these big companies because your firm may provide one or more services. As a manager, can you invest in apple stock if you are in tax and don’t work on any project relating to apple company?

Hello - I am looking to begin a career in UX Design. I do not have a portfolio, but have been exposed to ux tools such as, Figma, AdobeXD, and inVision as well as some Photoshop experience. I also have experience in conducting UX research while I was attending school. Any advice on applying without an actual portfolio? Is it possible? Thank you!

Is it normal to get basically zero feedback? Brand new associate working at a mid sized firm. Been there a few months now and firm is still WFH. I get a fairly consistent amount of work. But I send my work product off into the ether and typically hear nothing or very little back (even when I follow up). I’ve gotten same vague “good work” feedback but that’s about it. I’ve drafted memos to clients and some briefs that have been sent/submitted nearly verbatim, so I assume that’s a good sign.
