Don't be discouraged, everyone's paths are different.
It took me 3 years to clear 100k, and then another 3 years to get to 150k, but over the next 4 years I went from ~$150k to over $400k today with 10 yoe
Took me 5YoE + MBA.
In the 4 years pre MBA went from 40k->120k
Now, 1 year after MBA at $280k

I was at Deloitte three years making $110k when I left & jumped to tech S&O for $150k. I’m in NYC and this was a few years ago when the market was hot so that helped. Switching companies is the best way to increase your pay. No one knows what you’re paid now so ask for more than you think you’re worth
It’s incredibly different and it depends on your cost of living. $150K in SF is not remotely comparable to $150K in OKC
Base only;
2018: 85k
2019: 95k
2020: 104k
2021: 135k
2022: 183k
2023: 183k
I’m internal strategy making $155k base. 6 YOE
wow, reading this thread really makes me feel like I went many years underpaid. I never got into company switching to boost my salary, so maybe my own fault. 17 YoE with 4 companies.
2023 $160K
2022 $147K
2017-2021 $123K - 126K
2013-2016 $113K - 118K
2012 $93K
2011 $73K
2010 $69K
2009 $66K
2008 $61K
Base Pay since UG:
2019: 57k
2021 1st Half: 60k
2021 2nd Half: 83k (promo)
2022: 90k
2023: 116k
2024: 140k (promo)
I anticipate I’ll be 150k+ in 2025 but who knows
Base pay graduating from a state school in 2018:

Sorry realized I didn’t do a good job describing my path:
2017: $37k (thanks EY!)
2018: $55k
2020: $75k
2021: $90k -> $100k
2022: $110k
2023: $130k
2024: $155k
A lot of busting my ass to learn how to deliver value and got into a strategy role to really sharpen my skillset and value delivery. Slow progress but hoping the next 6 years will have more growth than the past 6.
