Nobody cares. Just give a 2 weeks notice.

Everyone knows what the deal is when joining PA. As they say, “don’t hate the player, hate the game”

I’m amazed at the stories of people giving notice in January. I always thought December was the latest for handing in notice without burning bridges (I’m in assurance with 12/31 clients).

Thanks for the inspiration!

Do you all have jobs lined up? If so, where are you going?

I am planning on giving my notice on 1/11, but am nervous. My main client is a 9/30 busy season, so I started looking after that busy season ended. Of course was thrown on another busy season... so now I’m nervous it’s going to look really bad when I give my notice :(

Not your problem.

Remember one thing - If some companies are laying off employees then it's equally a good chance for the other companies to get talented resource . Here things will remain balanced mostly and there's no need to fear . Not all companies do layoff at the same time. You may end up getting a 100% hike too. Just believe in yourself and focus on your skillset, time to brush up and pull up your socks. Stay safe , stay positive !

I'm the only associate on a case with two partners. The elderly, managing partner thinks that a party has had three prior wrecks, I'm confident that the party only had one. He keeps telling witnesses/experts about his multiple prior wrecks, and I keep correcting him afterwards in private, but he keeps making the same mistake.

How should I handle this?

My total YoE is 14 years. I know pretty long stay in TCS. I am happy with the work though I am not a project lead or in some manager position. Got onsite opportunity almost 7 years in support project. But some time seeing my x-teammates who have changed many companies and now in better position, feeling like I would have moved out instead of sticking to 1 company. Now decided I have to come out from this comfort zone. I know it is possible but worried a bit with my exp. I need you guys advice..Plz

Hi All, just sharing what on mind to vent it out from my system. Maybe with this I could gain some insights and inspiration.
I have been working as a data scientist since 2018 & have been the bread winner. I have neither been under a proper mentor nor with a team of peers from my field to help me out. I was alone and confused. I have never really got the chance to prove myself which makes me all the more depressed. I'm not sure what to do with my future, indecisive and low on confidence.

I have also considered joining Big 4 again but only if it is an advisory position like FDD or deals. Thank you in advance!
