Also... a 4 month gap is easily justifiable if you are just waiting for a start date. Why didn't you just stay with PwC until you got a start date?
Contact our recruiting folks!! We have a good thing going!! Soungkim@kpmg.com
Location?
VA, DC. I recently turned down an offer from EY since Deloitte made a better offer. I know you guys are hurting!
How long have you been waiting?
24 days, and have been asked to wait for another week.
My process took about 4 months, starting from the day I was contacted by a recruiter to the day I started.
Were you a campus hire? And that’s exactly what I’m afraid of.... definitely don’t want a four-month gap in my resume.
Nope, experienced hire.
Hi K, I’m interested in a referral if you’re hiring! fedconsultantburner@gmail.com
OP: What is the reason for Deloitte taking so long on your background check? As o understand, a background check only need be "initiated" prior to your start date.
It appears the background investigation company made a mistake, then dropped the ball, then while attempting to substantiate their error they managed to trip over their own shoelaces.
Ah, that's really annoying. I am also going through a background check and it's taking forever. Good luck'
You may want to reconsider EY...while D is able to pay more right now, I have found the other benefits and culture to be far superior at EY. Really depends on what is more important to you though. Good luck!
^agreed
I turned the offer from EY already though. Didn’t I burn a bridge by doing so?
Of course not, we all know how this business works. Reach back to your recruiter if you would like to reconsider.
Ey drop a burner for referral! I'm at d now and want to jump also
