Depends on your definition of irrelevant.
But my guess? The job market has been reeeeeaaallly tight going almost 2 years now. There are signs of improvement but I think everyone was so focused on trying to get recruited and make themselves marketable they’re showing a personal side to them on LinkedIn.
I don’t hate it— it brings out a lot more humanity and shows we are all kind of in the same boat doing our best.
I wonder about that myself. It's sort of comical how they relate everything to finding a job or growing as professional, including their pet dying or getting a divorce
Agreed. I do it at times but I always own it and don’t try to bring it back to a work or leadership lesson if there isn’t one.
It’s amazing despite their efforts how many LinkedIn users lack any awareness
Alright alright Alright … coming from the company that gave Matthew McConaughey millions to be in a space suit that’s rich. What was the point?

My post was not from the company. I am not their spokesperson :)

A lot of folks could improve their cognitive empathy, which is an important skill that I’d argue is not taught enough.
I’d consider the reason for that being that it’s not really something that can be taught. Yes you can practice becoming more aware of it but you either feel empathy or don’t, and if you don’t, I’m not sure that kind of personality would have motivation to try to develop it.
Are you talking about company or actual people? I don't know what you would consider irrelevant but I think people are starting to consider LinkedIn as an actual social media site and using it as such
You mean as like an influencer?
Irrelevant in what way? I think that many people are using scheduling tools where they post the same thing across all social media platforms

I have seen people posting stuff similar to their Facebook like their engagement, wedding pic., creating a motivational story out of anything like creating content just for the sake of creating with zero value.
