It's the oil patterns on the lanes for me. Make sure to shift about 3 boards out and then get a little more spin. Also, avoid house/plastic balls. And bumpers never hurt.

Get MBA, that pretty much ensures $200k in total comp. look for Deloitte target business schools with a one year program, try to get a free ride and go to Deloitte. Signing bonus and base will add up to 190 and the rest is bonus to get you over the hump.

It seems so hard because you work at KPMG.

Agree with this

If you had a couple more turbos on your car, maybe a little nitrous, you may be able to push it past 200 🤔

I first broke 200 when I was 8. My dad started me off with just a driver, a wedge, and a putter. I broke 100 thirty years later. I recently broke 80. It takes time

Legal immigration shortcomings. Due to which US companies get foreign talents, mostly from China and India at prevailing market salary but then those immigrants are stuck with the company for a long time, getting meager raise and blocking new talents. In other words, companies directly exploit foreigners but in that process US citizens are also exploited .

Total or base? For total, sales roles are usually fastest route to clearing $200K

like

There are sales roles at Accenture that pay what’s called a Sales Achievement Bonus. It’s not commission but you have potential for a much higher bonus depending on how well you perform against your quota. Bonuses max out at 3X your base salary if you hit 150% of goal in the highest revenue tier. Most obviously don’t hit that, but 100% to goal in mid tier is still ~50% bonus. Look for titles like “Sales Capture Lead.” They’re mostly Sr Manager but not all

Why's it so hard to break 70. 😩

Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.

Hi Sharks 🦈,

Need some suggestions: My current company is on a layoff spree and 2 rounds are already done and I can foresee another round coming very soon.

While I am trying to switch to other companies, I’m not able to reveal the real reason from my side for the job change, as if I say, it’s because of layoff fears than it’ll reduce my negotiation power.

What other reasons can I give as I’ve just completed 9 months here and it’s too soon for any other company to take me in.

Got a 30% salary bump, via an offer for Senior Consultant S&O from Deloitte. Currently underpaid at EY Advisory. I'm MBA and this year is my promotion year at EY for Manager. What to do? Get demoted and move to D? Or counter at EY? Even if EY matches my salary, and promote me to Manager, I will be an EY Manager with a Deloitte SC salary, and probably won't be able to go to D in the future. What do you think? I have built up a good relationship with my Partner and SMs at EY though.
