Listening to classical music or the Epic Film Scores playlist on Google Play Music help motivate me to focus and get stuff done.
Lol same here especially since the work is boring. Been trying to find the answer to this for a year now lol.
If I have work I need to do and have a hard time focusing on it, I will put my phone somewhere out of sight and immediate reach (e.g. in my desk drawer). I rarely get to that point, but it's effective for me. If I find the people around me to be a distraction, I'll put headphones in and listen to music that I can tune out.
Adderall!
Trying not to get that. People say they cant quit it
I make a list of everything that needs done including all the little items.I keep checking it and crossing out completed tasks. The list helps me to focus.
Mint gum, classical music with headphones, and notifications off when I have to grind. Also we really good stretch first. It sounds odd. But I swear it helps
Yes, work is boring and sometimes & i hate the office space
Music, phones away, plan the work at the beginning so you can sustain
I second phone being away and just focusing on the task at hand. Leave browsers closed if you can avoid it.
Yoga
I know I am late to this, but I want to suggest the pomodoro technique. Basically, you work for 20 minutes with a timer, then take a break for 2 minutes before doing 20 more. Often, I just need the time to get myself started, but when I lack focus, sometimes that first 20 minutes is small enough I can convince myself to do it.
