Why dow e have to pay around 8k from salary for insurance. For me (senior 2), adding dependent and group policy is compulsory, and without it I can't proceed, and if I add them it's showing 10k will be deducted from wallet(ey), rest 8k from salary.


Then why in offer letter they mention around 50k on insurance

I received an offer (28 Lakhs + 3.9 Lakhs incentive) from Novartis for Sr Project Manager yesterday. This was just 13.6% more than my current earnings as Project Manager. I've given the reasons why I deserve at least 30% to HR. In response to that, HR has sent 2nd offer i.e. 29 Lakhs + 4 Lakhs incentive + 50k sign-on bonus. The 2nd offer is just 18.2% higher than my current earnings. Need your suggestion, if I could still negotiate with HR to finalize deal by asking for 25% hike?

Curious: are there more lowball offers during the pandemic season or is compensation levels relatively stable?

What’s a good starting salary for a newer attorney? I’ve never worked anywhere but in the public sector (even before becoming an attorney). I currently clerk for a judge and now am up to $44k as of July 1. I’m in KY. I’ve recently had a couple attorneys reach out to me about joining their practice.
