For those of you who made the switch to in house/corporate law, what was your experience like? Did you have to take a lower position to gain the experience or were you able to argue that your soft skills were transferable to in house? I’ve been in litigation for 15 years and I’m looking to make the switch. Ultimately, I’d like to get into Legal Ops, but feel getting some in house experience first would be beneficial.

Has anyone transitioned from being client facing to fully remote software sales? If so, what were the major differences in day to day? I'm currently on site with customers 3 days a week focused around hardware sales but have an interesting opportunity for fully remote software at a higher pay.

This annual appraisal I have got a good % of appraisal increment on my salary but I was not promoted to a senior developer (although I have been mentoring a junior dev in my team and been part of building the project by implementing new technologies and tweaks) and my total YoE is 3.5+ years. Trying to get out of consulting. Ux is so watered down and I’m terrified that it’s going to stunt my growth. I’m overall just not happy. Sure, consulting pats decently but I love the field of UX and just get stuck making wireframes that the customer requests. The field is so competitive right now and I can’t seem to land another job. Entering my 2nd year as a medical malpractice (insurance) defense litigator. My billables are 2200 per year, even during WFH and COVID while the courts are moving very slowly. Any advice as to what I should look into for an exit? I can’t hit those billables while maintaining my sanity.

I'm realizing I don't really have any "healthy" ways of relaxing outside of work, so drop whatever you got. Trigger: rare illness post birth

Just sharing that I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia 3 days after giving birth despite not having risk factors or preeclampsia in my pregnancy. Sharing as I had absolutely no idea about this illness.

Main things to do are check your BP everyday at least the first ten days after you give birth, and go to hospital if it's very high (over 160/110). If you get severe headache or stomach ache then also be vigilant.
