It’s better now when the sun sets at like 7 pm. The winter is awful when it goes back and the sun sets before 5 feels like Stone Age
Some of us go outside and enjoy sunlight.
Personally, I don't care. I can use the evening daylight a lot more than early.
I read this as Delaware Statutory Trust. I think I’ve had too much tax for one season.
We should get rid of those too!!
I’m all for permanent DST in the USA. And/or states choosing to align to a standard timezone (i.e. Colorado could elect to be Pacific time even if Utah wants to remain Mountain standard).
Permanent DST would be great. I don’t think I’m for the standard timezone. I’d hate having to check which states are which timezone when traveling etc.

So I read something yesterday that there was a time when they tried to implement DST year-round because people wanted more daylight in the evenings, but there was an increase in auto accidents (specifically children being hit) from trying to get to school and work in the dark.
Apparently it was so unpopular it only lasted one year and then they went back to DST. But we don’t bother learning from history here so let’s give it another shot.
Thought this was a fantasy football post until I read the replies.
Again, we should get rid of those too!

I work in the EU with global teams across the globe, DST is just another freaking hurdle when coordinating multi-time zone meetings. Either make it an international standard or flush it.
Entitled much??
How so?

Maybe don't stay at one or the other but split the difference 30 minutes
Rising Star
Yes, I've often felt that as well re: splitting the difference to the half hour.
Or move the switch to a Friday night - if the majority of the time change accidents happen on the Monday after, then maybe they'd instead happen on the Sunday when there are fewer people on the roads.
I suspect people's thoughts on DST versus Standard time also have to do with where they live in their time zone in terms of both latitude and longitude. So not easy to please everyone/anyone lol

Better in theory than practice.
