I had an interview with Cognizant and then got an email from HR to fill in CIS form and also along with to send all the documents. After i send all those details i got an email saying the position went on hold and to wait until they revert.
Any idea that how much time it would take for the position to be released? They did not respond when i asked the same question.

I have yet to meet ANYONE who's not account who actually thinks they can or wants to do our job. If I could only count the number of times especially from creatives that I've been told they could never ever imagine doing what I do and thanking me for it. I owe being good at this job to my first boss and best mentor, though. A dying breed in all departments...
I think agencies overall are having to defend and explain to clients their value as a whole. We're just the ones on the front line, so if they don't trust us and come to us for guidance then everything then it will be much more difficult to retain our business. My two cents.
At our best, Acc ppl are indispensable. The rock, glue, problem solving, leaders, etc but too often basically project management. In an era of procurement and emboldened clients the role is more easily questioned on an hours sheet than more obvious value adds of creative and strategy. I’d love to hear the creative depts POV on doing away with Acc mgmt. sounds nice maybe but I’m not sure how many creatives would actually want it. Look at Mother; famously doesn’t have Acc People but basically does under another name. Personally whilst some Strategists are good Acc people, and vice versa, they’re better as separate and more clearly defined roles. Any commercial negotiation would also lead you away from collapsing them.
Business relationships and business leadership are integral parts of a functioning organization, agency or not.
Sure a creative or strategist can be a great business leader and the great ones are. But there are few great ones. And so you need great business leaders who combine business, strategy, and creative thinking into a multidisciplinary skill set. And take that to deal with some of the things like Client Managament, head count and resources, partnerships and business development, and things that other departments find distracting or boring but are critical to a healthy organization.
Aren’t we just glorified project managers that dabble in strategy and can expense things? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As an account person, I agree. I honestly don’t think the role is necessary - strategy and account should be rolled into one role and staff a team accordingly rather than understaff.
