Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Umm I don't know, the law maybe?
I can be drug tested because the client requires it and I accept that it comes with my job.
THC stays inyour system much longer than other drugs.
I think marijuana should be legal but I also understand the rules and laws, and adherence which comes with my chosen industry.
Can agree, have done many of the stupidest things of my life while heavily intoxicated, have only ever eaten excessive amounts of food and stared at walls for a lengthy time while high.
Nobody is going to fire you over a jay
Couldn't agree more, it's an absurd law
It's a ridiculous law. I can't wait for the day when cannabis becomes a mainstream substitute for drinking. Going out and smoking pot/conversing with strangers sounds infinitely more appealing than getting dumb on alcohol. The world would be a better place if people used cannabis instead of alcohol
Come to California, it's going to be legal here next year 😄
It's a dumb law but it is the law so if you want to risk your job over weed go ahead just don't whine if it gets you in trouble.
Refuse the drug test. The client can either trust you or not. I have refused at three clients and never had the refuse to keep me on the project
In the past I have also been able to schedule my own tests... So I just waited 3 or 4 weeks, took a break, and passed no problem
