Can I apply infosys after 6 months after rejecting their offer ? Should I use a new Email ID?
N.B.
I have rejected the offer due to parental COVID infection on middle of second wave. I need a long leave which may not be possible while serving notice period. Informed and mailed HR with proper documents.HR accepted the same politely.
I joined Infosys 5 days back. I want to leave because the project allocated to me is not matching to my skill set. When i asked same thing to my hr , they informed me that I will be getting kr for that. What should I do now?
Will abscond a good idea or something else. Please help. Infosys
I'm serving notice period in TCS and my last day is in 2 weeks. I requested for pickup of laptop in the portal but I came to know that it will take time for pickup and I won't be available if they come late. So I decided to go to office and surrender the laptop as I'm in the location of office only. Is there a seperate request to be raised for surrender of laptop and how to cancel the existing request for pickup. Please guide.Tata Consultancy

If they permanently give everyone a wfh .. then what about their high end investment which they invested for building offices ..
Also from the economic/govt point of view, when people move to these cities other local people will also get their economy running .. like you earn from companies and spend a monthly amount locally ..
Won't WFH diversify development? 🤔🤔
People will spend in their home towns, invest by buying land or houses and it will eventually improve the overall economy.
How long can we survive with only Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune. (we just added 3 more cities to our traditional 4 metros) and we are unofficially the world's largest populous country. Development must diversify else we will end up in creaky, polluted mega cities.
Meesho earlier announced permanent WFH, but now switched back to hybrid model..

Nagarro seems to be only company now offering permanent WFH
Nagarro is wfh or work from anywhere? Heard only few projects are wfh now else it's client location

There are multiple reasons
1. There is a clear lack of team work and camaraderie in teams which is directly proportional to drop in performance and increased attrition rates and peopel ghosting.
2. Communication has become difficult. People not attending meetings citing technical and other reasons have increased and when there is an issue with hardware organizations are losing millions of dollars in revenue loss as we cannot bill people in those days until asset is replaced or fixed.
3. Organizations are getting huge tax benefits from govts for giving employment to many people which they may lose if sufficient number of people do not work. These discounts are given assuming we will give jobs to a certain number of people whoch will intern add to local economy. So your logic of why dont call only few people who are ready to work from office won't work as govts do not support organizations which do not add to local economy
4. Irrespective of how many people work, expenses for orgs are usually same. Rentals and electricity usually remains the same and won't make bug difference and so there is no incentive to organizations continuing wfh
5. Also many projects and work has security issues where you can work only from secured Network connections or ODC's. We cannot trust normal wifi people use as they can be hacked anytime.
6. There are clear indications that people who sit and work together, work better.
Just because covid forced organizations were forced to give wfh. But that's not a norm anywhere in the world and we all know the situation but now suddenly want things to change based on our whims and fancies? Anyway there will be orgs for which wfh will work and so join such orgs. No one is forcing you to work in orgs which mandate wfo.

Author.. yes many organizations have now offices in tier2 and tier3 cities so as to give people options and also spread wealth. But it all depends on local govts.
Except for that all other points are still valid and so wfh will not work long term. No where in the world it's working .
You know how many times I hear people not joining calls because power isn't there, internet not working, laptop not working and so on nd miraculously will start working when meeting is over. Also all the disturbances between meetings with kids walking in,work happening around, cooker whistles etc etc. Since you guys don't deal with end clients your managers may not be passing on the feedback. Except in some teams where collaboration is less or not working for external clients wfh will work.
Name of the company?
All companies are calling for hybrid , not one

Yeah even this is there
Major issues I am facing in my team are delayed response , without login , message in slack that,"Network issues unable to attend scrum " this message is obvious now a days that shows he/she didn't not login😂
When I was team lead, I was okay with people if they don't want to work for particular day and if there is no work but it come with a condition that they have to communicate or keep me informed about their plan. There were scenario where one person from another team got moved to my team with blessings of my manager and used to do exactly what you told(no login but xyz issue due to which he can't do any work) I informed to my manager about it and he said his concern is genuine one. So I contacted my Client end tech support guy(who happens to resolve our issue and had remote access to our system). He provided me system usage log and then I Confronted with this to my manager he had no words to defend him. I decided to let it go because along with me 80% team was serving NP.
