Why isn't Pakistan, Saudi Arabia or Egypt on that list?

The list wasn't created by Trump or his administration. It's a list created by Obama's DHS passing the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015, modified in 2016 to include three additional countries, bringing the total to the current 7.

EY2 I am using my brain. I'm not blaming Obama or anyone else for anything. I'm simply supplying facts. If you actually read what I said in my posts in this thread, you would see I do not support how this was handled, by this administration. And don't tell us to stop talking about the list two years ago - that is an indisputable fact and one of the cornerstones, called out by name, of this EO. Quit forcing your thoughts on others and debate like an adult.

I think that's a good thing, the fucking list is stupid, adding more people to it wouldn't make it less so.

like

OP it would've been more consistent, to your point. I however also agree with D1

like

True S&, but important to note again that he didn't specify the countries on the list. Obama's DHS did. That said, I don't think it's just a coincidence.

like

TPP list is not countries of concern as outlined by the previous administration's DHS, not even remotely close. I'm not saying it was a well thought out EO that was implemented well (on the contrary), I'm just stating facts that not everyone is being made aware are there. My response should tell you nothing more than that.

like

D1 appreciate the link. But not really what I'm trying to say. I didn't say poor people caused the crisis, I'm saying people were given loans they couldn't afford, regardless of their economic status. And the fact that not all sub prime lenders were regulated by CRA is actually part of the problem - a much more lenient regulatory environment in housing, which was done under Clinton's watch.

like

#thanksobama lol

like

Lol. Yeah trump is not suspending visas for ANY specific country at all through the EO, only the countries named as areas of concern through the act I referenced above.

like

Egypt, SA, and Pakistan are also "strategic partners" in the region, I guess we actually care about posting them off

like

@D3 if you eat bad food and have to take a dump is that Obama's fault. Seriously everything is Obama's fault 9/11 happened 7 years before he was president it's Obama's fault. When will it not be his fault. Use your brain.

like

This has nothing to do with President Obama.

like

EY2: Funny how you say that, but Obama spent 8 years blaming Bush for everything...

like

Actually he almost never mentioned bush's name. And I don't know if you noticed Bush sent troops to Iraq where thousands of Americans died for what? Iraq did not sponsor the 9/11 attacks. And another just being open and honest I did not. Vote for Obama or hillary. Bush was the worse president in recent memory he did nothing but spend war money. And send people to middle east 150k plus. Also the housing crisis was not bush fault but happened on his watch. But I guess that's Obama's fault as well???😀😃

like

The housing crisis was on Clinton. He forced sub prime lending, and it collapsed when Bush was in office. Again, I'm not blaming Obama on anything. Your argument doesn't seem to point to anything that I've stated and instead rambles on about Bush and Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. I don't disagree with you on your points on SA and Pakistan and I don't think it's a coincidence that SA isn't on the list. I'm just stating a fact that the Trump administration did not author or source that list. That is a non-debatable fact.

like

I think he and/or Russia have strong business ties to those countries. But not sure. Also what about Afghanistan?

Not only are they not on the ban list, they're also on our governments annual payroll

Trump has investments in Egypt and SA.

That makes no sense d3, that was a list about visa waivers, how about using the TPP list. All your response tells me is that even the most basic aspects of the policy were not thought through. DHS which has to implement this eo was not even consulted

*pissing

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time?
