This question may not be related. However I wanted to know from personal and family point of view how it is like to relocate from India and live abroad .
Let's say Family consists of husband , wife and a kid . I understand we will get good facilities, education, cleanliness , good air etc , however I wanted to check whether people gel up easily in the new environment? Don't they feel loneliness/ difficult to adjust? Do they look for similar asian nationalities to kill boredom?

My mom has been sick for nearly a week now (fever, fatigue, nausea) but isn't able to get help or tested because she doesn't have respriatory symptoms...yet. Our numbers are definitely underreported.

Mental Health, inherited or choice? I am finding myself struggling with processing that ADD, Depression, or Bipolar is a chemical imbalance in the brain vs. behavioral therapy. The best analogy given to me is you would treat diabetics with insulin so why not consider prescriptions to help mental health. 2020 has thrown more at me than I’m able to handle. Well I recently told a guy I have been seeing I have HSV-2. We have not yet been physical but it’s been heading that direction. Man I hate this part - waiting to see what his response will be after he researches and talks to his doctor. I’m on daily meds which help reduce transmission risk. You’d think that since HSV-2 affects 20% of Americans and likely a higher % of gay men, there would be less taboo but it’s hardly ever talked about. Anyone else in my shoes? Or had it disclosed to them?

I am so depressed working in banking. I have only been at it for a couple months, but I feel intellectually stifled, sleep deprived, I haven’t been able to workout at all, and like I’m losing friends.

Just venting - In my 50 and tired of monthly periods with no end in sight. According to blood/hormone tests I’m pre/peri menopause. I hate the drier skin, hormone changes, thinning hair and weight gain (no matter how I adjust my diet and exercise the scale will not budge). Fortunately the one symptom I don’t have is hot flashes. Sigh. Does this get better at any point?
