Word is that Nomura (IB) is telling staff to keep themselves offline on Skype so there isn’t as much FaceTime pressure. Really would like to see this concept adopted by others.

I get the utility of status as a tool, but that use case isn’t what’s pressuring especially junior staff to be always chained to their desk

I am curious how other inclusion teachers are being utilized when the school is doing remote learning. I find that I am sitting in the zoom class and have very little opportunity to contribute. Split classes take away joy! We have 6-7 classes at each grade level and they split 1-2 into the remaining 5 so we can have a 5 day schedule. Big classes plus the classroom culture homeroom teachers work so hard to achieve are ruined. Advice? (Plus we are told to "not be negative" by admin.)

So I’m only contributing to 401k enough to get employer match, and I’m saving an additional ~20% and putting 90% of that into my vanguard mutual funds. Reasoning is that I don’t want to lock away all that money maxing out 401k. Have 3 months expenses liquid in a savings account. Is this really dumb?
