Working as a senior developer. Dealing with anxiety and depression. Unable to focus on work and slipping due dates. Already made a bad impression on the entire team. Don't know how to proceed? Is it a good approach to discuss such things with the manager?

When manager is bullying you and HR foesnt come with a resolve, neither do the senior managers bat an eyelid, what do you do ?

My organization absorbed another and the former deputy PM became a branch head - a demotion. For org was more focused on tech dev and not delivering a product on a sked. New org is very focused on that. He is not a driving leader, but is the only one with the tech knowledge needed. He is retirement eligible. He has no heir apparent - previous org didn’t plan that way. If I move him under someone who is a driver - he retires and I lose the knowledge. If I don’t, we may not meet schedules. Advice?

Just got let go and my manager said part of it was because I was looking for other jobs. I didn't look for other jobs at work, so I'm not sure how they could have known that unless a coworker snitched on me. Is it worth it to try and find out who or should I just leave it? A company didn’t follow through with a scheduled intro phone call. I emailed during the time scheduled to see if something had come up & after as well to reschedule. No one answered me or followed up. I can’t help but feel like this is a little red flag. If you can’t follow though on an intro call… what’s your HR & the rest of the company doing? 😬

I’m torn. My current role is great in that I have so much flexibility day to day. However, I’m not being compensated fairly per the market value & I work with one of those types that slips thru the cracks that plays the system.. Anyway, a few people left due to this person. There is also a high turnover as competing companies are paying a lot more.

Should I keep my new job or boomerang back to my old job? The new job pays 50K more base, 25K more bonus and I get 40K a year consulting for the old job so around 115K difference in cash (not counting equity).

So why even consider going back to the old job? The new job keeps me busy 12+ hours a day while the old job is a coast at 1-2 hours a day max.
