Worth interviewing for a new role despite being at current role not even (but almost) a year given that company is being fully acquired by PE in Q4 (currently controlled by the buyer but publicly traded)? Unlikely I’ll be laid off immediately but they may sell the company after delisting and I’d be in danger then.

Had a screener today and was invited to interview but am on the fence. I’m a competitive candidate and pay offered is competitive as well.

Thoughts?

There is nothing wrong with interviewing. You don’t even know if you’ll get offered, too early.

Vesting not clear.

While Product Counsel is a more stable position, it’s still not a bad bet to consider options when your company is being acquired

💯

any updates did you get a job yet?

good luck

let us know when you hear back

yeah man i worked at F500s, the good ones will make the process smooth, and no BS free work

Update: GC/my boss quit this week. My 3rd interview with the aforementioned company is next week in person (4hr panel ending with a 20 minute presentation on recent changes to the legal landscape in the industry). I’ll be slowly applying to roles that meet my criteria over the coming months unless this current role doesn’t pan out. But definitely gonna be applying.

I just AI’d a PowerPoint presentation and spent some time fact checking and cleaning it up, so I’m already mostly ready

Hello everyone ,
I’m currently working in insurance customer service at an agency. I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. What are some good companies I maybe should apply for after getting my license?

Hey! I'm just about to start doing some freelance work for a NYC based boutique design studio, and I need to give a hiring manager my hourly rate to give his customers. I am new to UI/UX design. I have experience in graphic design, but I just completed a certificate in UI/UX design so other than school projects I don't have an extensive amount of experience. What would you suggest I should charge? I am more interested in gaining experience than needing the money, but want to be payed reasonably.

Our company is shopping around for anti-virus and anti-malware solutions, and encountering companies who “will not redline.” We’ve tried 3 vendors, and the only one who redlined quoted 5x what others have quoted. Some of it has to do with how the biz team is presenting, but has anyone else run into this? I’ve not seen another industry where an outright refusal to redline exists, let alone one where negotiating legal terms costs 5x!

If you practice collections in-house, what do you earn and do you receive a bonus?

I receive only a $1k bonus per year. Is my compensation fair? My last insurance defense gig was $75k.

Got a temp offer for less than a year without promise of turning into full-time. Wanted to know what ppl think about temp jobs (looks bad on resume if I don't turn full-time later within the company?) and what comp should look like (e.g. 1.2× of regular comp?).

Got another perm offer in a different industry for similar salary, but I might have to relocate and I'm concerned the work may involve translation instead of pure legal work.

Can anyone help me wrap my head around this post Series C start-up equity offer? It’s an IP director position, the the base is $170 with 10% bonus (both lower than I was expecting). There’s also an equity component: 0.15% of current fully diluted equity. This equates to about 30000 shares at a strike price of $2. They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.
