Would going from Senior Manager at Deloitte to Principal Director at Accenture be considered a promotion? If so, would a jump from $220 to $280 be realistic?

220 for a senior manager? That’s pretty low, no? Manager salary reach 200k

When will people understand that titles alone don't define your pay. Just because you're an SM doesn't mean you'd make the top or even the mid of the range

It looks like 25+% hike to me, which is pretty good. Just curious, why do people in Deloitte care so much about designation? No one really cares about the designation outside these b4.

Y’all missed the second half of what I said. Recruiters are able to piece the experience based off industry research. Example they know an audit Senior Associate is 3 years experience which comparable to 5 years of industry experience. A recruiter knows they can place you in a high analyst or low manger role based off that title.

Deloitte SM3+ is essentially a Principal Director level at Accenture.

The better question would be what’s your goal or chances at it - PPMD at Deloitte or MD at Accenture?

If you’re on the verge of specialist track at Deloitte and PPMD is out of the picture, then making the move might make sense. How much do you value the network you currently have. PD outranks SM at ACN while a specialist leader is peer of SMs at Deloitte.

like

Thank you! That’s very helpful perspective! I’m SM3, so it sounds like it might not be a step up, except for the potential salary bump. Love my network at Deloitte. I’m definitely not a specialist track but also not clear on my path to PMD…

280 dollars? In this economy?
