Would going from Senior Manager at Deloitte to Principal Director at Accenture be considered a promotion? If so, would a jump from $220 to $280 be realistic?

Anyone have experience between choosing between an Industry position or making the final push (manager/SM level) for partner? How did you finally decide to go one way or the other and do you have any regrets?

I think I want to try someone new, and have an offer, but am having a bit of paralysis in making the move knowing the income/ partner lifestyle that I could be passing up…

I read a lot of self help books so I know a lot of the theory, and books peppered with examples help, but I feel like most 1 paragraph examples don’t five justice to how hard it may be to change a behavior.
