Would you say you’re trying to recover from a disaster of a career choice?

I’m only teasing - best of luck OP and don’t think you’re in a bad spot.
Oh man - sounds grim. Suggest trying to work on other initiatives if possible (try operational resilience) and applying for a Big4 role. Operational risk would be a good fit as you will be able to use your disaster recovery experience. Otherwise maybe try applying for grad level jobs? It would be worth coming through big 4 as a grad (if you only have 12-18 months experience) as you get great training which you wouldn’t get as an experienced hire
Thank you, this is every helpful!
I worked at an accounting firm out of college as an auditor, and transferred to disaster recovery internally. I didn’t see career growth so o switched to Workday implementations. There’s a ton of growth there. Happy to chat more if you want to dm. I used to worked for a competitor or Horne, and have a lot of friends there now.
Did you get into Workday by self-study or your firm?
I know of one person in Deloitte GPS Consulting who had a similar background and is now doing other work. Might be worthwhile looking at Deloitte careers. Experienced hires normally need 2+ YOE
This is a path I was considering. Working in GPS at Deloitte, then making an internal transfer. I’m definitely going to look into this.
