Sounds like a good opportunity to me. In an industry you like? I would take it
Send me a link - I’ll take it. Seriously. Am looking for a pre-IPO fintech startup strategy role
How many years experience you have? Sounds amazing
That’s awesome OP! Congrats; I would take that in a heartbeat
What were the cons exactly?
Thanks for the feedback 🐠. Definitely connected well with the team. Big con in my eyes is lack of a strong investor board and their product isn’t in a hot space, so might make raising additional capital difficult.
Within a year and build out the team more in coming months. Role would report directly to ceo/cfo. Risk is it’s not well capitalized at the moment and they are trying to raise capital quickly..
You got a big mortgage or kids? If not, I can’t think of any reason not to take it
Hell yeah
Do they have strong investors on board? Path to raising additional capital?
Go for it!
Agree. Negotiate like hell for as much equity as you can get and then take the role.
I would not put too much weight on the pre ipo part. If you like the ceo, industry, company and you don’t have big dependents such as kids, go for it. You only live once
Nope
