Rising Star
I probably can’t do it on Monday, but Tuesday will work fine.
you had me at “move”
I did it once and I’d do it again.
Rising Star
I would even do it for 20% more.
Are you doubling your workload? That can be a thing at smaller agencies.
Agree, yes workload would probably increase a ton
yes
For sure
Yes, though small agencies have their quirks. And job security may be an issue.
As long as the client is a relatively well known brand. No name agency + no name client = really hard to get a new job in the future
I’d say well known client but mid tier spending. But I agree with what you said
Yes
If they were decent ya
Yes
Could that just mean you’re hugely underpaid and would get twice as much no matter where you go? Maybe you just found out your market value.
Definitely all great things to think about. I did think of all these before. Reasons for pay difference include promotion/currency difference/lower end of current salary etc. at the end of the day it’s whether you make the leap or not - like you assess pros and cons, can’t make a decision, close your eyes and leap(or not!) lol
When do I start
yes, depending on the client of the small agency
Is the smaller agency as good or better?
Well if it was better there wouldnt be a question haha.
100%
Yes, I’m underpaid and would seriously consider. But agree with AD1
Wouldn’t think twice unless there were major red flags or it was a known shit-show like Vayner
High turnover, excessively negative reviews on Glassdoor/Fishbowl (there’s always gonna be some but what’s the ratio), weird vibes from the people you’ve met. If you’re unsure, ask them for references from former employees.
I did it and not sure I’d do it again. Go where you’ll do your best work.
