I think it depends what you want out of your career. Do you want to be well rounded, always learning? Or do you want to specialize in something and be the go-to? If you choose the easier role on a client you know, most likely you will forever be in that vertical, but may move up faster because you will become very good at what you do, but could be boring af. Working on multiple clients will be a great learning experience, but is also usually a shit show and you will probably be stretched thin all the time, possibly making it seem like you're not catching on fast enough. Will probably never be boring though.
