I am a military Vet in Advisory/Cybersecurity that was let go due after coming back from military leave due to low utilization last week. This doesnt suprise me. If anyone wants to refer me please respond to my burner dm4444burner@gmail.com. Thanks
@ PwC 14 - I wish I could go more into details, but my amazing attorney says confidentiality is key at this point. My attorney and PwC general counsel are in discussions.... and thanks, but I don't need luck, I'll be fine, actually more than fine :-) get some extra time with my baby! Already being "fast-tracked" through other firms recruiting processes...
I presume before bonus payout
OP which practice / group / industry?
No layoffs. Just cleaning house for the new fiscal year.
So evaluating SA1s head-to-head against SA3s and laying them off for low utilization is getting rid of "poor performers"....?
Still waiting for some demographic info from op...
PwC 10 - demand is telling me there aren't a lot of projects in the pipeline....
@ PwC 17 same to you. You need to lawyer up.
WINTER IS COMING
Pwc22, I feel for you - been getting passed over for promotions since I had a baby, but still get top ratings. I hope it goes well for you
What HR? they cut so many in HR too and outsourced a bunch of tasks (such as L&D vantage compliance management).
Yes P25. My layoff masqueraded as a "coaching discussion" 😂
Wait seriously. I had my CRT already. Went fine and rated a 3. Should I still be worried?
^ Agree. Some people are way too timid for this biz. Take the bull by the horns.
P5 this is easy for you to say. Some of the RPs or coaches are not very responsive or just keep rescheduling the meetings. A lot of times there is not much you can do, especially true for junior staff.
I refuse to believe that you have done everything in your power and have been unable to reach your RP for 4 weeks straight. No one is so busy they can't fit a 15 minute phone call into a month.
I'm sorry, but I've been with this firm long enough, and been in enough practices, to know that you are simply wrong.
Just remember, when you cut one batch of low performers, that automatically adjusts the average. The next level up ("high performer" / average) is the new bottom low performer.
Really? Why would they do this in the new FY? We had layoffs up until June 30 as well but the understanding was that we were done. Weren't people not laid off already given their rank and expected bonus, etc?
As far as I know, July 10 was the cutoff to let folks with low ratings to be let go. I'm unaware of and not seeing a RIF separate from that.
If they fire you you don't have to return it?
Our bench is practically non-existent in PAS
