Wine by 5
TEARS BY NOON (yours) and then WINE BY 5. 😩
I tried this. Finally hired a nanny and my life Is so much better. It’s very hard but doable - but if you can, please hire someone.
Same situ. We hired a nanny. She's wonderful, and we can both get our work done. Is that an option for you?
Our nanny wears a mask in our home and we do too. The children do not. That has helped us feel like we are doing our best to stay safe.
I’ll give you the advice I was given by a professional while taking a parenting in a pandemic workshop. You parents need to juggle, 30 min segments, try to sign up for an online activity- karate, virtual aquarium school, or even grandparents FaceTime story reading. Get out a box of activities they can use when you can’t juggle your time - play doh, slime, crayons. Try to get some kind of childcare.
Then pray and drink after you’ve tried the above.
This is fantastic! I’ve gotten a tiny bit of practice with occupying the toddler while feeding/caring for the newbie. Crayons & play doh have been a huge save so far!
It’s really hard. We got a huge playpen and try to rotate toys in, but often I end up taking calls or sending emails from inside the playpen... most evenings I do 2-3 hours work just to catch up. Nanny or daycare isn’t an option for us as my husband is high risk
