Wrote out my 2024 financial goals yesterday. Tell me if this is too ambitious for someone making $72k a year .. between saving and paying off debt, I'm hoping for somewhere around $20k

Honestly, that's an awesome goal and I say go for it! Reevaluate your progress after 6 months and decide if you think it's doable to keep it for the end of the year! You got this!

That's a good idea - thank you!

I believe in you

Thank you!!

It’s a little bit too Ambitious. You have to factor in things like going out and having fun unless you wanna stay in the house all year. 14k is a bit more feasible. I assume you are in an expensive metropolitan city area.

Yes I am in a relatively expensive metropolitan city, living downtown. My 'going out/having fun' expenses are relatively high in comparison to most people, probably. Thanks for your opinion! I may need to reevaluate

When to sell at a loss?

I’m 26 and have a fair chunk of my NW tied to Cloudflare - a tech stock that I believe has the opportunity to 3x and become a $100b+ company over the long term. Similarly, I have a lot in cloud computing etf - WCLD.

Given short term rotation out of growth stocks, I’m confused on what to do. I think we still have some time before growth stocks bottom out, but do I sell?

I would consider myself a “long only” investor, but am unsure what to do given my lack of diversif

Noob investor here. I messed up and need some advice. Invested in Alibaba (BABA) around $245 average cost because I believed in the business but now I’m significantly down…what should I do? I have half investment in my individual brokerage and half in my Roth IRA (I know, pretty stupid of me). Am I screwed long term?

Currently scheduling “on sites” for a S&O role in CA. My referrer said they can hire as L5 or L6. Would like to land in the L6 bucket as I’ve heard 5 --> 6 is one of the more challenging promotions.

I’m looking for info on what the real difference is in responsibilities (manager vs IC, cross functional vs focused, etc) so I can focus on checking the L6 boxes during my interviews.

I’m also curious about whether this is something that I should just discuss with my recruiter directly?

Help me ask for a raise in my upcoming performance review? In sum, my company’s HQ is in Texas and I feel I’m being paid a Texas wage when I live in Los Angeles (the role is remote). We do have a San Francisco office and I want to ask my boss to match me what staff are making there. As that’s more comparable. Based off of Glassdoor, my salary matches Texas’s exactly and SF has the same role at 10k more. Should I show him the Glassdoor page? Don’t want to come off too strong. Please advise
