Yesterday I got a verbal job offer so I asked for a written offer to look it over. The HR rep told me she can’t give a written offer until I accept. I said I would contact them in the next 3 days with - decision. I emailed an hour later to ask if there is any wiggle room in the base salary because I’ve been told to always negotiate salary. The recruiter called me and asked for a number which I hadn’t prepared so I just maybe 10k more. Today the offer was rescinded. No explanation. What do I do?

Curious what the base and commission structure is for inside sales and associate director of sales in biotech (also anyone else who wants to share pls put industry). Paid hourly or salary? At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). I’m underpaid at $53000 with $3500 cap per quarter.
