Has anyone received an offer letter from EXL (Inductis India Pvt Ltd) that was extremely restrictive and reading which felt like one is signing up for going to prison rather than get employment? No leave policy mentioned, hundreds of paragraphs of worst case scenarios, pathetic salary breakup, etc. ?

I think you have a fairly narrow view of “tech”. Maybe something like FAANG where RTO is the norm, but I’ve been remote for over 5 years at this point living wherever I want and still keeping a decent comp.

Which comps have fallen? Jobs have-100%.
I know people who made and are making 300-400k, own houses.
Can you provide a data point?
$300K/yr in tech? And be laid off the following week? Like I'd even send a resume in to companies that think it's ok to offer jobs in writing, have people uproot their families, quit their prior jobs and then rescind the offer in writing and then say "ooops" and ghost them? Would it be okay/professional for me to accept/sign multiple offer letters, laugh, never move or show up and then ghost the employer? Maybe the job market is just a zoo these days? Right now I'm making quite a bit with respect to an equivalent SF Bay job...so I really don't care much but it is pathetic how much squeezing people has become so mainstream. As for rescinding offers...IF I look for a new position the offer letter will need to specify extensive severance benefits upfront. I'm tired of playing games..
