Hi, I need a referral for an internship
in Financial Advisory Team
Valuation, M&A, FDD, or Financial
Consulting - at Big 4 in Germany,
can anyone help me?
I did my bachelor's degree at the
University of Mannheim.
I would appreciate any kind of
support and advice.
I'm not above reaching out to alumni
directly via Linkedln, but l'd prefer to
bug as few as possible. So if you
want to help, guide, or mentor,
please pm me.

I do one at a time. It comes down to gut feel and skill for the job.
That basically happened to me. And no, we didn’t give multiple offers at the same time, but we did interview multiple candidates at the same time. I hired contractors in the meantime and shifted workload among the existing team,
Our team generally lays out specific, prioritized hard and soft skills we are looking for then tailor the interviews around those. We use behavioral questions primarily to try and get a real sense of problems each candidate has solved. Once we have someone who meets most of them well we make an offer immediately. Even if we are aggressively looking, we try to to fill a position just because we really need to fill it. A bad fit is much more detrimental to the team than an empty spot. If needed, it’s my job to set expectations on the impact of reduced capacity with stakeholders
This! Stakeholders need to understand that the team isn’t the same for a while. The process takes as long as it takes. Better to wait for the right fit.
