You know you’ve been in sales too long when you say ‘I’ll keep this short’ and then talk for 15 minutes.

HAHAHAH this is me. Every time I say I am going to keep things short, I get long winded and talk longer. I can't seem to ever actually keep things short.

Neverrrrr like I have to make sure you understand 🤣

I do this too, usually it's the follow up questions that make it go past 10-20 mins, however if they aren't interested and ask questions or I can tell they aren't qualified I wrap it up super quick.

like

Right. Or you ask for a "quick chat" and 45 minutes later you're still trying to wrap it up, lol.

Hey hey hey the conversation was fruitful 😂

I have started setting a vibrating timer on my Apple Watch so I know when five minutes or ten minutes has gone by.

😂😂😂😂😂😂 totally me, at some point I’ll just be like “so long story long”….. and keep going.

Do you think you and your significant other should have similar personalities? My significant other and I are doing long distance and I feel like when I FaceTime with him, I emote more and show interest by asking more questions but from his end, he doesn’t always have a reaction or just nods, and it makes me feel like he’s uninterested. On his end he sees it as he’s comfortable.

I realized I've been a dummy for getting a job at a creative agency and not working on my portfolio. Most of the projects I've taken on, I've done so as a way to support others without taking much credit for it. Republicans... in hindsight, do you think it was a political miscalculation to have Pence on the ticket? Seems to me it would have been advantageous to have someone firmly in the Trump camp - like Alex Jones - as his VP to galvanize the base and put more daylight between the Trump ticket and Biden’s mainline political position. Thoughts?

“Job hopper” and “quiet quitting” are all schemes made up by boomers to make you think everything is the employees fault. When in reality people are just getting out of bad situations. Older companies do whatever they can to pay you the least amount and get the max work out of you. Except our generation will just leave amid we’re being mistreated, not complain for 35 years making 50k and 0 advancement.

I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. After 45 minutes she said they will let me know...

2 months later and I am still waiting...

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?
