How do I earn miles on Delta with Hertz? I've heard there's a way and see the details on deltas website but there's no instructions on how it works.
Parents are flying over from Singapore and considering booking on Korean air. Any idea if it is good? Parents are used to flying a lot, but a little slow with English.
Hope it’s ok to share this here — figured we all love dogs and might have some Alaska miles going stale 💜
United Airlines: horrible for delays, bribed thepointsguy, beats up passengers, kills dogs and has a clueless CEO. Worst of the big 3?
Touchscreen son Delta: goddam these things are frustrating. Kelly Clarkson is exactly what I wanted to play...
Do you ever send a compliment via the customer service email? I wanted to send one to Delta for a situation they went above and beyond. I thought it might help balance the complaints on my file
Paris to Chicago American Airlines, flown by Pilot David Bowie, no kidding! What an Air-Space Oddity!!
Are airlines doing food/beverage service right now? I have delta and American flights coming up. (FYI - More so curious about the alcohol part of the beverage service.) TIA
Someone already posted this but: Delta or American. Heard Delta is nicer but I can do a status challenge for American. Project starts Monday, help! Thank you😘
My parents booked a Delta flight to Vegas for their 25th anniversary. I want to use my point to upgrade them, but they booked Basic Economy which isn’t available for paid upgrades. Any way around it?
Watched Duckweed on Delta Studio. Was so unexpectedly good! Cinematic gold. High recommend if you're bored on the plane.
Anyone looking for a roommate in the late September / early October timeframe? Hoping to stay towards the southwest part of manhattan / possibly Jersey City.
Flying into New York, Delta or United? Which airline is better in terms of loyalty, status, reward program etc?
Reached Logan too early today (expecting delays due to the delta outage) and now chilling near gate A9. Anyone up for an early morning chat? 😅
In need of some guidance re: a potential promotion. A senior writer on my team is leaving and I’m hoping to transition into that role (I’m mid level). Last week I talked to my GCD/manager about the writer leaving. We mostly only talked about passing along recos to get a referral bonus. Then it hit me hours later: I’m the one for the job. I set up time to talk to said manager. I have my reasons all set and ready but I’m worried they’ll say no on the spot. How can I best prepare?
Not so fun one: drank too much at the holiday party and feel like a total idiot. Nothing happened but still, lesson learned. Any advice on how to recover?
@Capco professionals or others who have heard of them, Have an offer with big 4 risk and am interviewing with capco in for the ATP generalist program. (NYC) Entry level for both. Big 4 offer is 80k + 5k sign on, Does anyone know what the capco pays entry level generalists? Which do you think is better long term, goal is to eventually get to MBB strategy, probably through MBA
Does anyone have a site/resource they use for coding interview prep? Currently doing practice challenges to refresh my SQL on Hackerrank, but wondering if there's anything better.
Will there be a salary bubble like the housing bubble? Hearing how much people with 2-7 yrs experience are getting offered to move companies is blowing my mind. At some point this is not going to be sustainable and salaries will drop back down to reality. However, I am concerned that all of those folks with inflated salaries will get in situations they can’t support after the correction. Then what happens?
Any Deloitte fish here willing to chat about reduction in hours due to medical/disability?
I went on the worst date of my life today.. #milestone why is it so hard to date in ATL?
Looks like I'm going to get passed up for a promotion this cycle - many of the reasons being things outside of my control. Finding it really difficult to stay motivated. Any words of wisdom or (cont.)
Health care is being rationed in several states. This is getting serious. This is definitely worth learning more about as hospital refuse critically ill patients who do not have covid. Emergency rooms are literally flooded, critically ill pts (w covid) wait hours on end in their car to get in to see a doctor. What a MESS https://www.adn.com/nation-world/2021/09/13/alabama-man-dies-after-being-rejected-by-43-hospitals-in-3-states-family-says-as-covid-packs-icus/ https://www.marketwatch.com/amp/story/alaska-joins-idaho-in-rationing-health-care-as-hospitals-are-packed-with-covid-patients-and-who-says-africa-is-being-left-behind-in-vaccine-push-11631717516 https://www.adn.com/alaska-news/2021/09/14/amid-covid-19-overload-providence-alaska-medical-center-now-prioritizing-care-under-crisis-standards/
Recently hired SA here, got my H1-B this year. When does PwC typically file for a Green Card? Also, is there any way the process can be expedited (e.g.: a reason such as wife needs EAD) ? Thanks
When you call in sick but aren’t sure when you’ll be back in the office, do you just update your team daily about whether or not you’re coming back? Or call in sick once and don’t checkin until better
Have a interview with LinkedIn for Startegic Ops Manager. There internal consulting group. Has anyone interviewed with them? Do they give MBB level cases for the interview?
What constitutes a “notice period” when terminated? Wondering if eligible for severance. Not fired for any of the “causes”. Working in at-will state.
Last night I was looking through pictures on my phone. I was such a happy kid and young adult and even after joining the firm I’m at I was happy for 2ish years…..the past 4 have been awful and depressing though. Man I wish I could go back to that time and do things over.
When you send an email to ask questions, and in bullet points of exactly what you're asking, but you get questions back. I don't have time for this shit. Just fucking answer the god damn question.
